US Height & Width Limitation

Always watch for low clearance. Don't enter doorways or drive under bridges when your vehicle is taller than the height listed on signs

Caravan / RV Manual page

Before you drive the RV for the first time, measure it from the ground to the top of the highest point on the roof -- often the air conditioner. Then measure its width -- how wide -- outside mirror to mirror. Made a 3x5 card with these measurements on them, and take it along for quick reference.

The height of the body makes it very sensitive for blowing wind. Always watch for low clearance. Don't enter doorways or drive under bridges when your vehicle is taller than the height listed on signs. Also look for hanging branches when driving under trees. Think for the air conditioner on the roof, too. Be careful when driving over tops or through dips. caravans/RVs may hang over at the rear. When passing, the outside mirrors may not give a total overview, and a rear mirror very often is not of big help. When backing up the vehicle, or when parking the second driver should always stay outside and give signs.

Keep the roof ventilation hatch closed when driving. But you may open it in the night for about 4 to 5 centimeters (approx. 1 1/2" to 2") to allow fresh air circulation. If opened be very careful and watch for animals coming trough when parked beneath trees.

NOTE: This online manual  is a work in progress and is subject to change at any given time. It is also a generic peace of work and is meant only as a general guide. Each Caravan/RV is distinct and individual in it's own right, do not take anything written here literally as it may or may not apply to the exact Caravan/RV you will be using.
